Savory egg paniaram
- Eggs : 6 nos
- Small onions : ½ cup
- Milk : 2 tsp
- Green chilli paste : ½ tsp
- Garam masala powder : ½ tsp
- Salt : as required
- Cumin and pepper powder : ½ tsp
- Soaked Bengal gram dhal : 1 tbsp
- Ghee or oil : 4 tbsp
Method :
Peel onions and cut finely.Beat four eggs and two yolks together. Beat separately another two egg whites till stiff.Soak Bengal gram dhal half an hour before in little water. Drain the water and add to the beaten egg mixture.Mix onions,green chilli paste or red chilli powder with salt,garam masala,cumin,pepper powder and milk. Now fold the egg whites carefully with the mixture. Meanwhile heat the paniyaram pan with one or 1 ½ teaspoon of oil in each cup.When it is ready pour the egg sets,carefully turnover with a spoon. Add little more ghee to the sides. When the egg is cooked completely,remove from fire and serve with chutney or ketchup.
