Printed solar cells
Scientists in Australia have been able to produce the largest ever printed solar cells using a newly developed solar cell printer. They are called the printing solar cells. The cells are flexible, cheap, and made from organic plastics and materials. There are so many things that can be done with cells this size. It can be made for advertising signage, powering lights. It can be even embeded into laptop cases to provide backup power for the machine inside. These cells can be laminated to windows that line skyscrapers. It can also be printed directly to materials like steel, we’ll also be able to embed cells onto roofing materials. These organic solar cells differ from conventional solar panels and they are lighter, flexible, semi-transparent, its much cheaper. The installation costs of this lighter system is utterly revolutionary. A family would be able to cleanly power their home for only a few thousand dollars.
