PASSPORT MELA on March 15 in Bengaluru !
The regional passport office (RPO) here will hold a “passport Mela’ on March 15 to expedite the submission of passport applications in view of the high demand for passports.
In order to participate in the ‘Mela’, applicants have to log on to the official website ‘www.passportindia.gov.in’, register on-line to generate application registration number (ARN) and pay online the requisite fees to take up appointment.
Applicants participating in the ‘Mela’ have to bring the print-out of ARN with appointment details, to the Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) along with the required documents in originals, and a set of self attested photocopies.
The applications for all passport related services other than Tatkaal (based on Verification Certificate in Annexure F or J) and police clearance certificate (PCC) will be accepted during the ‘Mela’.
The appointments for ‘Mela’ dates will be released on March 10. On the day of ‘Mela’ the service at PSK will be on appointment only, and walk-ins including On-Hold and Refuse Tokens of previous three working days (T+3 Facility) will not be entertained.
The ‘Mela’ will be held across all the 4 PSKs oin the state (Lalbagh Road and outer ring road (ORR), Marathahalli in the city), Hubli, and Mangalore).
The RPO expects approximately 2700 applicants to benefit from the ‘Mela’
