Papaya Halwa Recepie
- Papaya : 1 medium semi ripe ( approx. 4 cups grated papaya )
- Oil or ghee : 2 to 3 tbsp
- Sugar : 4-5 tbsp
- Cardamom : 2-3
- Almond powder or milk powder : 2 tbsp
- Cashewnut : 8 nos
Rinse papaya and remove the seeds and finely cut it into slices. Take a pan and heat oil or ghee , add papaya then stir and cook on low flame for about 14-15 minutes. Keep on stirring, the friut will change its colour and release juice add sugar this time and keep stirring. Continue to cook for further 18-20 minutes on low flame. By now the oil will begin to separate, add grounded almonds and keep stirring. Cook for another 5-6 minutes till the whole halwa has become thick and sticky. Then add cashews and cook for 1-2 minutes. Papaya halwa is ready, serve it hot or warm.
