Kaveri Nisargadhama is an island formed by river Kaveri near Kushalnagar in Kodagu, Karnataka.The place is approximately 3 kms from Kushalanagara, off the State Highway and 30 km from Madikeri and 95 km from Mysore. Its a well-known tourist destination.The 64 acre island is covered with thick bamboo groves, sandalwood and teak trees. You can spot a variety of animals like deer,peacocks, rabbits etc. There is an orchidarium and Elephant rides, boating are some of the other attractions. The forest department runs a guest house and there are numerous treetop bamboo cottages to choose from.
