Nelamangala is a town in Bangalore Rural district of Karnataka, which is around 27 km away from Bangalore city towards Tumkur and Mumbai. The Town is spread over an area of 14.1 km² and at an altitude of 882 metres. It lies inbetween two National highways, bangalore-Mangalore NH 48 and Mumbai-Chennai NH4 towards the north of the city. Some of the famous temples in nelamangala includes Vijya Vithal Temple,Rajaguru Temple, Lakshmi Venkat Raghavana Swami Temple, Shiva Temple, Udhbhava Ganesha.
Nelamangala has a beautiful park at Binnamangala, Vishwa Shanti Ashrama, Its a place for excursion and spirituality, with huge statues of Panduranga, Geeta Mandir, Ashtalakshmi Temple, Vinayaka Temple, the beautiful Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala statue along with a park to relax. One can also find many Dhabas located throughout the stretch of National Highway. Nelamangala is a connecting place for Madhure Shanimahatma Temple, which is 14 km away from Nelamangala. Also Nelamangala has oldest Temples of Lord Shiva, one located in adepete,which is constructed in chola style.
Shri Rangnatha Swamy Temple,is another major attraction in Nelamangla. It’s an ancient temple which has been recently renovated. The best time to visit Nelamangla is during the month of July when the temperature is around 37 degrees and the rains are also round the corner.

The town is connected by two National Highways. The easiest way to reach Nelamangla is by car or bus.By cab it is aroung 36 minutes drive from Bengaluru,depends on the traffic condition.There is a rail route from Bengaluru to Nelamangla which was started recently. The closest airport is Bengaluru International Airport.
