Kurinjal Peak (Kuderemukh National Forest)
Kurinjal peak is located about 20 kms from kudremukh and is almost at the height of kuderamukh.Kurinjal peak is located in the middle of forest surrounded by lush greenery. There are two ways to reach the peak, one is after the Bhagavathi forest check post while the other one is from a small village called Mala.
It is located at a distance of 20 Kms from Kudremukh colony towards Karkala side. It is located in centre of Forest surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. There are mainly two routes. Along the trek you will also find an old abandoned receiver station. Since the whole area is now inside the Kudremukh National Park, no one is allowed to stay here. And stay inside anywhere the national park is not entertained without prior permission. Water will be available at 1 km downhill. From bangalore kurinjal peak is about 300 kms, The nearest town is kudremukh colony. This national park has also been declared a Tiger reserve. It is also a trekkers paradise. The peak is the second highest peak in Karnataka
