Jomlu Theertha Falls
Jomlu Theertha falls is a small waterfall that is the part of Someshwara wildlife range created by river sita. This waterfalls is precisely located on Brahmavar- Hebri road in Udupi district of Karnataka in India. The waterfalls lie amidst of lush green forest, rich and exuberant nature and an amazing wildlife. The waterfall is situated at a distance of about 40 km from the town of Udupi. The height of the waterfall is about 20 feet. It is the second waterfall created by the River Sita.
The beautiful waterfall is ideal for taking a bath, However, caution must be exercised by visitors during the monsoon season as the water flowing speed increases at an average speed of 30 kmph. Months of October to December are best time to visit the falls. Swimming is strictly prohibited in the water of the falls as the current is very strong here. There have been several instances where people have lost their lives due to drowning in the water. The other major tourist destinations near to Jomlu Theertha falls include Maple beach, which is located at a distance of about 6 km from udupi. The beach is known for its pristine beauty, golden sand and turquoise blue waters. The other major attraction is the st.marys island, It is a group of island known for its lovely palm trees and beautiful scenery. The other attractions are Koodlu Theertha Falls, Kaup Beach and Udupi Sri Krishna Temple.
