Chutney powder
- Urad Dhal : 200 gms
- Channa dal : 120 gms
- Thoor dal : 150 gms
- Copra (grated) : 1
- Mustard : 2 tsp
- Asafoetida powder : 1/4 tsp
- Oil for frying and seasoning
- Tamarind : (the size of a samll lemon)
- Red chillies : 12 nos
- Salt to taste
Method :
Red the tamarind of seeds and fibre,if any and keep aside.Roast (without using oil) brown urad dal,Channa dal and thoor dal and keep aside. Fry red chillies in a little oil for a couple of minutes and keep aside. Fry mustard in a little oil until it crackles and keep aside. Grind tamarind,asafoetida powder,red chillies,urad dal,channa dal,thoor dal,mustard,copra and salt to taste into a fine powder and serve.
