Cashew nut Murukku
- Par Boiled rice : 4 cups
- Chutney dhal powder : 1 cup
- Cashewnut : 50 gms
- White butter : 4 tspns
- White Sesame Seeds : 2 tspn
- Coarsly Crushed pepper and cumin : 1 tspn
- Salt to taste
Method :
Soak rice water for 2 hours. Grind it to a smooth thick paste along with half of the cashewnuts (other half of the cashew nut should be finely cut ) At the end of grinding add salt, butter and grind for few more minutes. To this paste add dhal powder.Sesame seeds,Cumin,Pepper powder and finely cut cashewnuts. Take lemon sized dough in hand and form small spirals on a cloth. Deep fry after ½ an hour. Beginners tip : Add just enough water while grinding rice. If it becomes watery by accident, put the dough in between layers of thick cloth for few minutes. The cloth will absorb excess moisture,mix it with the dhal powder after 10 minutes.
