Antara Gange is located at the Shathashrunga mountain range in karnataka and about two miles from the town of Kolar and around seventy kilometers from Bangalore. The word ‘antargange’ means “Ganges from deep”.There are seven villages on this mountain, including Therhalli. The mountain consists of granite rocks and lot of caves around.
Antaragange is famous for the water coming out of stone Bull. There is a temple named Kashivishweshwara Temple in front of the pond. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The pond gets continuous water flow from Nandi. It is believed that the water, which falls throughout the year, is falling from head of Lord Shiva. It is believed that one can get rid of the diseases by drinking this holy water. The hills of Antaragange provide an ideal location for Excursions.
How to Reach :
There are many KSRTC buses plying to Kolar from Kempe Gowda Bus Station. From Kolar it is just 4 Km and you can catch an auto to reach Antaragange.
You can also reach there through Bangalore – Hosakote – Kolar – Antaragange (70 Km) route.
